Mr Scott was an incredible teacher, his out of the box methods engaged more students in a classroom than most ever could, he helped me to become interested in science and health and played a very important role in my progression as a person.

I had Mr. Scott for Biology in 1995. It’s rare to find someone so passionate about their job.

I can count on one hand the number of teachers I had in high school who inspired me to my very core. Mr. Doug Scott is one of them. I am now a teacher as well, and I think about his Earth Science class, his passion for science, and his engaging personality often. He is a huge asset to the community and I support him 100%.

Mr. Scott is an asset and this admin would be loosing a great teacher. Many of his students have gone on to do great things and he sparks interest of science to others. Mr. Scott is irreplaceable.

I have never known anyone that has such a passion for what he does ...its his life. Whatever anyone has against him its not his teaching ! Everyone loves Mr. Scott as a person and a teacher. I am truly disgusted with the school district. It would be a terrible loss for the district and students if Mr. Scott was not part of the team.

Mr. Scott is one of the most influential teachers I have had. He not only made his students passionate about science but he was also a constant support for his students as a mentor and teacher.

I have know Mr Scott to be a positive, caring, intelligent individual with a great passion for science and sharing his knowledge with others. He is a very straight forward individual with good character, and a man I have always been proud to know and respect. It is without hesitation that I sign this petition and recommend Doug for any position for which he is qualified. Knowing his good character I am sure he would be a great asset to any organization.

He was easily my favorite and most impactful teacher during high school. He was afraid to be real with his students, and he consistently created a fun environment to learn in.

My son had Doug Scott in 10th grade at College Park eight years ago. Mr. Scott was his first STEM teacher and made a lasting impact on his interest in science. He is about to transfer from community college to pursue electrical engineering at the University of CA and owes much of his interest in learning to the skills and persona of Mr. Scott. I wrote a detailed letter of gratitude to MDUSD in 2011 for Mr. Scott's admirable contribution to my son's education. He is a rare teacher, a rare individual in the College Park learning environment who is dedicated to his craft, his subject and his students. His sincerity makes him stand out from many in the crowd of his peers. He also happened to be our very close neighbor for about 7 years so I saw him often off campus. Always gracious, kind and unassuming. The MDUSD needs to retain educators like Doug Scott, not run them off!
