I graduated in 2001. Mr. Scott was a tough teacher, but he was sincere and passionate and honest, and my favorite teacher at College Park by far. It breaks my heart to hear that he’s being discriminated against. He always was. The school always had it out for him because he doesn’t “look the part,” or because students would throw a fit that they couldn’t get away with cheating or being disruptive. He loves what he does and his passion is contagious. But most high school kids could care less about science and just want to goof off. And Mr. Scott’s class just isn’t the class to do it in. But if you wanted to learn about the Earth,
he was the best to teach you.

I am from class of 1997. Mr. Scott was one of the best and most enthusiastic teachers I had in life including my college career. I am saddened to hear of his current situation and stand behind him.

Mr.Scott is a kind caring teacher who loves to teach children , unlike a lot of teachers at college park . A lot of the teachers there should be fired but they continue to work and ruin many children’s outlook on life and school , atleast Mr.Scott loves what he does and spreads love and knowledge instead of hate and condescending opinions , like half the staff at CP‼️

Doug is a gift to Mt Diablo Schools. He’s a friend of nature and an adamant educator. Lucky to have him teach our children.
