I was a former student of Mr. Scott my Sophmore year he gave me an F the first quarter because I did not do any of the work so I deserved that grade. The following quarter I actually did the work and he passed me with a B grade I earned. He is an amazing teacher I mean 28 years is longer then majority of any current CPHS staff, I can’t believe this current principle really did that on the first day of school... I’m here supporting Scott even though he failed me because I know he is genuine and cares about successfully educating his students

My husband, Nate, and I both loved Mr. Scott’s class. He is the only teacher we took a picture with at graduation—class of 1998. As a teacher myself, I’ve thought about his impact numerous times. I’m not sure what he was accused of. I do know it’s rather difficult to get fired from MDUSD; but, if he is the Mr. Scott I remember, then it’d be a loss to current and future students to let him go.

Mr. Scott was the best science teacher I have ever had. Genuinely cares about his students and the content that he teaches. His passion for the earth and all that encompasses it was inspiring and I loved seeing how excited he would be to teach us! Future students need his lessons and to learn that EVERY DAY IS EARTH DAY.
