Donovan Lynch was a 25 year old black man and was a former college football player. This March in Virginia Beach the police Department said that Donovan was killed by an officer who was responding to an armed citizen. Officers said that they later found a weapon in the area but had no immediate evidence it was Lynch's weapon. The officer who murdered Donovan had his body camera turned off due to "unknown reasons". The officer is not facing in charges for this murder and is only being placed on administrative leave. The goal of this petition is to get Donovan's name heard on mainstream media, get Donovans' murderer in prison, and make it illegal for officers to turn off body cameras when on shift,

My heart aches every time I look at Donovan's photo and realize the person who took him away is still walking free. We are gaining momentum toward our goal but we need to shove harder right now to force people to pay attention. The officer should face murder charges. Any police officer following procedures correctly would want their body camera on to prove they acted accordingly.

#JusticeForDonovonLynch Donovon was a son, brother, friend, entrepreneur, man of God, and pure hearted individual. What happened to him on March 26th was in humane. He didn’t deserve that. And the cops need to be held accountable for their actions. I believe justice will be served whether it’s in the life or the next. Gone but never forgotten. Rest in Paradise brother!
Police are “required” to have their body camera on 24/7. This is infuriating. Say his name. Donovan Lynch.
Donovan Lynch’s family deserves justice! The police officer who shot him didn’t have his body can in for quote “unknown reasons” which is just a way of saying he had it off when it should of been on. Their was no evidence that the gun was Donovan or even near Donovan’s person. Donovan deserves justice and so does his family and I’m going by to do everything in my power to help give them justice!

Donovon was a good man. Loving and kind. I loved my cousin so much. We need justice for him and our family.
