Correct this serious mistake. I know several of you are better than this. The US DOJ will help you see what to do, unless you do the right thing.

The treatment of this child and who knows how many others, obviously should have never happened but it’s continuation at the hands of the school board is pathetic. Dereliction of duty.

Disgraceful, but systematic racism is alive and well in our schools where racists can strike where it hurts the most in the hearts of children

Justice for DJ. Time to bring the house down. Your elite system must change.

I don't know if labeling kids is the bigger issue or if FCAT is. Teaching to the test has done kids no favors, no matter what their IQ or abilities. Both my kids were gifted, yet were discouraged throughout school because it was too time consuming to answer questions. Public schools in Florida are not equipped to handle either end of the spectrum--and I'm doubtful even the "average" student. Critical thinking should be taught, not regurgitating limited facts so that schools and teachers can get bonuses. The fact that DJ has been sidelined and pushed through for at least six years because he needs extra guidance and might skew test results that make the school system look less than stellar is a horrendous disservice. Sarasota School Board ought to be ashamed--and largely replaced, as appealing lawsuits seems more important than providing quality education to everyone.

Unconciounable how do you sleep at night with a clean conscious knowing the lifelong damage you created and covered. This will be on every mind of every voter next election. Way past time cleaning this swamp, but one, Ziegler has a conscious, others zero

Shame on the school board members and shame on the courts for not enforcing their decisions. God sees your evil deeds and you will reap what you sow.
