Stop Radical Mob violence in Bangladesh

Since the assumption of power through mob violence by overthrowing the deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the present government, headed by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, supported by the Jaamat-Shibir and their allies, Islamic extremists, has left the lives of the vulnerable Hindus, other ethnic and religious minorities in Bangladesh, in a panic-stricken situation. They are frequently or sporadically being the subject of facing mobs, arbitrary arrests, torture, extortion, forceful abduction and conversion, and death threats. The law-and-order situation is deteriorating by the day, and a lawless state prevails everywhere. If these conditions persist without international intervention, the safety and future of Bangladesh's minorities and secular community are at grave risk, potentially leading to further ethnic cleansing and regional instability. We call for urgent action from the government of the USA and the international community, including increased diplomatic pressure, targeted aid programs, and support for human rights organizations, to save the lives of the religious minorities and the secular-minded people from the hands of the Jihadi-minded Islamic extremists.

In Bangladesh, minorities and indigenous peoples are subjected to regular and severe abuses such as rape, killings, looting, and kidnappings. Their land is being systematically seized, and they are being forcibly converted into other religion , which has further intensified the persecution of minority communities. At one time, minorities made up around 28 percent of Bangladesh’s population, but today this figure has fallen to below 8 percent. We who still remain in Bangladesh want to live safely and with dignity on our own land. For this reason, we seek the support of the international community. Please save us.

Hindus and Muslims cannot live together in Bangladesh. We want an independent Bangabhumi state for the Hindus of Bangladesh.
