My kids go to school with his children. They don't deserve to life in harford county with there fathers killer! If he stayed things could be different for his kids they might have there father. and punishment for the killer might be different drugs of alcohol was a factor I'm sure look at the rap sheet .

This reminds me of a similar case in my area. Hit and Run drivers should be punished to the furthest extent the law allows. I am so sorry for the family's loss. I only hope that this petition sways the court to consider a lengthier sentence for this murderer and coward.

I am beyond words watching all the support for my Sweet Chris.... I knew he was loved by many, but I can actually see it now...................... His father and Step/mother are more then grateful for your love. They are hurting deeply and to see the support has helped. Being loved by Chris the way I was will always drive me to do whats right.... Thank you Again !!! lets keep this going... I was BLESSED to have his heart....

This young man took the life of a wonderful father and robbed his two young sons of the benefit of his love, guidance and influence for the rest of their lives. He ran from the scene, covered up evidence of a crime and deceitfully evaded the police for months. A one year sentence in this tragic case sends a terrible message to the citizens of Harford County that this type of crime is met with a mere slap on the wrist. The members of the Harford County criminal justice system who have been involved in the adjudication of this crime should be ashamed of themselves for failing the victim, his family and every Harford County resident in this matter. Justice has not been served by this sentence.

When the death of a young man is no more than a passing comment, the world has lost its. humanity. No one should be left to die alone on a highway. If the perpetrator of this foul act is allowed to get away with little more than a slap on the wrist how are we as a civilized people supposed to explain this to his children,wife and dearly loved friends? Life has to mean more than a few months of inconvenience to the murderer. Had the driver who hit and killed Chris stayed on site until help arrived Chris would still be dead but it would have been a tragic accident....now it is seen by everyone I know as a cowards response to acting in a very callous manner to his action which was a cowardly move on anyones' part. Chris mattered. He loved with all his heart and He would have stayed if the roles had been reversed. This man needs to pay with more than a few months he needs to serve the 10 years that are possible with his action. I think the judge should reject this plea deal or explain in person to Chris's young sons why his death does not matter.

Chris was a friend of a friend to us. We were around him enough to know and see first hand what a loving father and great best friend he was to our friend and neighbor. The person that hit him and left him to die alone that terrible day, took away a father to two small boys, who miss and need him every single day. That will never
stop for them. The person that did that to little boys, changed their
lives forever. He was a coward. He purposely left Chris on the side of the road like an unwanted animal. He had no regard for this humans life. He changed the lives of many that night. This person needs to be punished for what he did. There is no excuse in this world for the pain he has caused to so many people. Make the justice system work to put him away for his unforgivable crime. Thank you

I am a Lieutenant in a police dept and formally from the area where this happened . One can only say that this was a something no one would want to happened to their family. But the action of the offender acted in a way that leads me to express my disappointment in the justice system that allows such actions to be taken so lightly in the punishment phase.Please correct this situation .

Justice needs to be served. This man should be behind bars. He's a murderer. He has drug charges against him and took the life of a man , son, father and friend that was loved by all.
