Leniency for taking a life and then running and hiding evidence? Scared or not everyone knows right from wrong and when you choose wrong you should have to pay. I believe the sentence is already lenient enough!

You are often on my mind and always in my heart. Justice needs to be served as this is not an acceptable sentence!! Praying the States Attorney sees all if this realizes that this is a huge error!!

Justice for Chris! No one who hits & runs should get away with it! Makes me sick... The USA I want to live in & believe in is BETTER than this!

As a former Trauma RN, I have memories of caring for patients whose stories sound so similar to Chris's; where those responsible walk free, never face jail time, and continue to make poor decisions that ultimately impact additional families. I hope justice is achieved for your family. This is a tragic, senseless loss of life.

The proposed sentence is ridiculous! One year and a day for taking someone's life, and hiding /cleaning up the evidence of the crime? Where is the justice for Chris and his family? May God bless them with peace.

I believe in forgiveness but also believe that we should be held accountable for our actions . A life lost by a horrible criminal act should not go unpunished and justice needs to be served

Clearly he knew the crime he committed.
He should serve NO LESS THAN A YEAR FOR EVERY YEAR THAT HE TOOK FROM THIS MAN'S LIFE!
To walk away like a coward and go about YOUR LIFE while you took away another's.

My sister was murdered at age 24 and the man who shot her and dumped her body in a swamp was allowed to plea out for a 10 year sentence. I pray for justice for the victims of senseless violence and their families.
