1 year is not justice.

It is against the law and so heartless to hit someone and leave the scene! Chris may be alive today if this heartless person stopped and requested emergency help!!!!! Heartless!! How does he sleep at night!!!!

Such a waste of a good person. Why is the judicial system even allowing the man responsible to walk freely among us. He should be locked up. He hit and left another person to just die alone in the cold. He took a life and tried to hide and continues to make excuses for his actions. Put him away for a long time. He should spend his life contemplating what he did and the pain he has caused so many other people.

1 year in jail is not justice for flat out murder. It was murder when he hid the car, tried to clean the evidence off and didn't tell anyone about it.

This killer-coward left the scene , knowing and willingly hide his truck and cleaned it trying to destroy evidence . He knew what he was doing , and took several months to find him . If you only give him one year in jail are are sending a horrible message to Youth today !!! He is responsible for the death and cover up ! Sentence him accordingly

Allow me to elaborate.... he claims he saw something in the road and tried to stop... HIT " it" and kept going cause he was scared........................ Ok witness saw him slow down back up then speed up to dislodge the snow blower............. lies lies lies... all being ignored... many little detail being ignored that are very crucial.. I do not know what would of happened stopped, I have yet to hear detail, I am not ready to hear them... however he didn't stop, and he knew.. and he maliciously hid and had help...

I believe the person responsible should have to pay a heavier penalty. He fled the scene and made no effort to contact the proper authorities. The excuse of not having time because of school is ridiculous. He had time to hide and clean his vehicle.

This incident has left a hole in the heart of our family. Chris was an human being that cared and loved his friends and family as much as anyone can. For his tragic death to be so swift and left alone to die in the cold is truly heart-wrenching. May justice prevail and our family find peace knowing that those responsible are adequately held responsible for their actions. My heart goes out to everyone who truly knew and loved him.

You call this justice???

While I agree this tragedy was an accident, the fact is the suspect fled the scene. A man died. What ifs are hard to prove but WHAT IF he'd stopped and called 911. Chris may have lived. I for one cannot overlook that simple detail. This man may have had a chance at life if the suspect had owned up to his responsibility as a driver and as a human being. For that alone he deserves more than the sentence they are considering.

He should have turned himself in and owned up to what he did.

We will get justice for Chris!
