This just makes me wonder how many other animals they've killed they shouldn't, and how much they've lied about it. As a previously recent Animal Control Officer, I never even killed the Coyote or Fox playing in our local school yards.

Should've given his handlers a chance to get him before just shooting him. Very disheartening

We are at a loss for words and fail to understand why all efforts to capture him alive were not made.

The act of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are questionable and unethical. Please do something to right this very wrong situation.
Evil, pure evil what the FLA Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission did.

I was privileged to call a timber wolf part of my pack for 15 amazing years. they are intelligent, kind, loving animals and this story makes me sick. good luck!
They were aware this wolf had gotten out after the floods, yet the FWC killed this rare breed.

The hysteria needs to stop. This was a socialized animal, killing him was no different than killing a dog. Fish and Wildlife "Services" are nothing by fear mongering liars that only wish to kill. They have no education on animal behavior or biology, and their lack of skill and knowledge shows, especially in these cases where they begin to create lies in order to try covering up their trophy hunt.

I have been part of Seacrest family for over 10 yrs now, also adopting a wonderful intelligent wolfdog from them!I have learned so much words cant describe it!i have been devastated by the " muder of Chaco" and feel these officers should be held accountable for this crime that they seem to think is funny!I feel not only should they be removed from thier jobs but also fined and made to realize the trauma they not only caused Seacrest Wolf preserve but all wolves in general. It is men like this that make people fear wolves :(
