I thought FWC were supposed to be stewards of wildlife, not redneck thugs. Seacrest is a well-run and fully licensed facility and FWC violated their trust and treated them like dirt. I plan on contacting my state reps about this because it was nothing more than a trophy hunt for FWC 'good ol boys' on my dime as a taxpayer.

What a senseless shame. The local Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission? Did they even understan what their name implies? Wildlife? CONSERVATION? I am outraged at what appears to be a rogue group of PEOPLE who went wild. As opposed to a reported beautiful wolf who just wanted to go home and be safe. So very sad!!!

Justice for Chaco! How can we trust the FWC anymore? Hold the FWC accountable for this killing of this wolf.
Terrorism comes in many forms. And too often America is shown to be producing and harboring those who choose to take life that has been placed in the keeping of all of us, thereby appeasing the corrupt mindset of a select few and their misguided and mechanical followers. By failing to show mercy and grace toward the voiceless, we risk losing all that is meaningful in the world and where it counts most... within ourselves. For Chaco, the Noblest Knight!!

I understand the Fish and Wildlife had to make a decision best for all BUT I would hope someone from the preserve could have been notified before this beautiful animal was killed. He was not more than 15 minutes away from home. Was a call made when he was spotted? There are soooo many questions.

This is totally unacceptable! Killing any wildlife is serious and darting by a wildlife professional should be required first! Only if the animal is rabid or actually attacking a human would be the only reasons to kill it. Laws must be put in place ASAP! Government officials should be held responsible for their actions! I am one local resident and thoroughly disgusted at the Major who have the order to put the wolf down! He needs to be fired and fined!
