Totally unacceptable! Death should never have been the option in this circumstance....tranquilizer shot & transfer to habitat....the wolf was terrified....we wouldn't have treated someone's pet dog who was terrified like that. It's my understanding that while still wild by nature, these wolves are pretty domesticated by the trainers. Just needed a safe return!

The killing of Chaco was not necessary and is absolutely outrageous. The people responsible should loose their jobs and face criminal charges.

This is just horrible. My thoughts and prayers to everyone involved. There should be an investigation and all of those involved (even agents responding to orders) should be FIRED and charged!!

A bad faith, senseless and inhumane killing by some officious jerk who probably couldn;t wait to shoot a wolf. Where is the intelligence, kindness and logic in this?...There is none. The rat bastards who shot Chaco and the people who authorized it without letting the rightful wolf minders know are frankly, without shame, lied and caused an unneccesary death. They were just aching to kill from the start, obviously. So unfair and mean-spirited.
