florida officials on all levels need to own up to what they did to Chaco. It was murder plain and simple. I have emailed the govenor and fws no responce. Chaco was a rare wolf. All animals deserve humane treatment. What they did to that poor wolf was horrible. Justice needs to be served.

Even wolves in the wild are quite docile according to experts. They would rather flee than riskharm by attacking a person. This was a human raised wolf that was doing important work in educating people about the plight of wolves in the US. He was hand raised by humans from a young age. I actually visited SeaCrest and sat in a room full of puppies, including Chaco, several years ago as part of the puppy training. I have since visited this woderful facility with no concern at all for my safety. Shooting ths animal was cruel, senseless and absolutely not neccessary. The facility was helping with recovery and there was no public threat that made this an emergency situation...other than for this beautiful wolf. Please investigate. Please look at your policy and work with the experts at SeaCrest to avoid a tragedy like this in the future.

Are there no laws on killing endangered/extinct species, like the British Columbian wolf? Aren't those the laws that the FWC is supposed to enforce, not break? I was thoroughly disgusted by the FWC's actions, especially when I hear a news story about them setting a humane trap for a black bear in someone's back yard!!! The bear was still there at the time of the broadcast. They will set a humane trap for a bear in someone's back yard, but they will murder a wolf that was near a school on a weekend? It's scary that we live in a world where people can get away with anything. It needs to stop here with the FWC taking responisbility for their actions and stop lying to everyone!!

It seems that the FWC personnel would benefit greatly from a tour of Seacrest Wolf Preserve. They would come away with a MUCH better understanding of wolves. I know I did!
