This is not a careless driving offense, a small fender bender at a safe speed is careless driving ( with no serious injures ). This is vehicular murder. Driving at a high speed, leaving the scene in my opinion is cause to charge this irresponsible person with more than a careless driving charge. When your driving a vehicle you should take caution of other vehicle on the road if you don't take due caution and drive without regards to others on the road you should be charged accordingly to the circumstances. In this case and many others the charges don't reflect the seriousness of the acts this person CHOOSE do when he got behind the wheel of a 3000lb vehicle driving at a high rate of speed.
