He definitely should be charged with vehicular homicide for the big facts of speeding and leaving the scene. There is no way to explain the reason for running!! This girl died as aresult of what he did. An accident is one thing but running and leaving her there to die is reprehensible!

People who hit and kill people on motorcycles need to be held accountable for their actions, rather than a mere traffic violation. If this were your child, would you not want this person to pay for taking an innocent life, especially given the account of the police report?

first I want to say I'm sorry for your loss. It is a horrible thing to go through. My family and I were there the whole day because we own a business on that intersection. He was not speeding and being that the light was yellow for awhile the 2 motorcyclists slowed then proceeded then slowed and were confusing each other. I'm not discrediting her life and her horrible death, how ever to punish a person and expect criminal charges when there was no criminal activity to charge is unfair. My husband owns 2 motorcycles and he knows if he leaves our driveway without a helmet he may not be coming home that night so he makes the right choice every morning. Both the driver and this young woman could have done things differently to prevent the outcome of that day. The driver of the motorcycle she was on walked away with a bruised leg and the motorcycle was driven away. The police did not file criminal charges on this young man for a reason. It was an unfortunate accident. Helmets save lives and I understand where you are coming from being emotionally involved and looking for someone to blame for this but it was an accident. I'm sorry.

they did HE did NOT and a helmet would not have helped the crushing injuries she got from being run over by a truck AND trailer.

I was actually at this intersection the time this horrible accident happened and that's exactly what it was an accident this guy was not speeding at all the two motorcycles involved stopped a little shorter than he probably anticipated and the only thing here that may have changed the outcome is if the poor woman wore a helmet he didn't run and leave he ran to the store is was going to for someone to call for help although it is a heartbreaking thing the real petition should be to make a helmet law for motorcyclists here in Florida

I lost 3 friends to this type of driving ... Sorry aiming a vehicle at someone and literally pulling the trigger. Do the proper thing and prosecute this idiot.. They were stopped for a light. Did he not see the red light too?
