The public defender has officially been vacated. It has been a long and draining road to reach this point but the truth finally carried the day. I am going to get some rest now while keeping a watchful eye on what happens next.

"Justice delayed is justice denied" is a legal maxim meaning that if legal redress is available for a party that has suffered some injury, but is not forthcoming in a timely fashion, it is effectively the same as having no redress at all. This principle is the basis for the right to a speedy trial and similar rights which are meant to expedite the legal system, because it is unfair for the injured party to have to sustain the injury with little hope for resolution." Wikipedia Dear Supervisors of San Bernardino County: We are requesting that the office of the public defender be declared vacated at your next meeting, because of the serious and irreconcilable breach of the public trust.
The Public Defender has:
1. Sworn to defend the Constitution of the United States of America never the less has denied the defendent the right to a speedy trial.
2. The Public Defender has publicly stated in a Court of law that this office lacks the economic resources for the trial of this case
3. The Public Defender on April 23, 2012 has obstructed justice by forcing the judge to make a Salomonic decision under the sword of Damocles essentially "hog tying" this sitting judge to choose between the lesser of two delay scenarios that would push the trail back one or two years.
4. The Public Defender in office currently has committed egregious violations of the ethics cannons that regulate this profession [rule 3-200, 3-700(c), rule 5-200(b) and rule 5-220] and should be removed from office.

The silence from the county offices is heavy but it only proves how necessary this push has become. I am spent from chasing responses that never arrive yet I keep showing up because the integrity of this process cannot be abandoned.

This is a total embarrassment for the whole county system. These people need to be held accountable for once.
Cant believe this is still going on. Do your jobs and stop making excuses for why you cant do the work.
Enough with the delays. Give them their trial already. Justice is being dragged through the mud.
Speedy trial is a constitutional right. How can they just say they dont have the money for it?? Absolutely ridiculous.
WHAT A DISGRACE. They are just playing games with peoples lives.
