Mr.Denesha is the one of the most warm-hearted, kind and brilliant teachers I have ever met. The only times I have ever came close to falling asleep or being bored in that class is when we have independent reading or there is a sub. As a student of his I can honestly say, his presence is a joy to every person he encounters. Denying him tenure would not only be a mistake but a disadvantage to every student at Barrington. His teaching style is unique. He actively engages all his students. Mr. Denesha doesn't create an environment that stresses conformity. He truly cares for each and everyone of his students. He chooses to challenge his students with the freedom of allowing us to find our motivation and reach our potential. He is generating a generation of free-thinkers who have a deep love for education. Whatever may be holding BHS from giving him tenure is not worth the loss of such a great man. Sometimes, when I'm having a bad day his smile and jokes can make me forget about all my troubles. He is a treasure. His dedication to education and his modern way of teaching is a vital assets to Barrington High school. It would bring me great sadness if does not return next school year.

His enthusiasm to teach english makes the generally boring subject enjoyable again!!! It would be a sham for future years not to be able to experience him as a teacher.

I am a junior at Barrington High School and I have known Mr. Denesha for two years. He may be a bit intense sometimes, but I have only ever seen him as a positive roll model and influence on his students.

Best teacher I had during my 4 years at BHS. Taught me life long lessons, and treated everyone with the upmost respect.

Mr. Denesha has made a great impact in my life. I came into highschool hating English due to a poor experience with my previous teacher. But he connected with all of his students and inspired me to love English once again. Whether it be through inside jokes or interesting lessons he connected with everybody in his classes no matter how old they were. If Mr. Denesha were to leave Barrington High School, this community would loose a caring, passionate, and amazing teacher, coach, mentor, director, colleague and most importantly friend. And I have full faith that everyone who signed this petition will agree with me.

Mr. Denesha was an utter inspiration in high school. I cannot stress how influential he was not only for me, but for my peers. I remember taking mythology with him, and reading "Big Fish: A novel of mythic proportions." The book by itself was uninspiring, but Mr. Denesha brought the book to life. He's an amazing teacher, and should be tenured.

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news, my names Rosalie Chesney and i moved away from Barrington last year. My freshman year was one of the hardest, with some of my biggest challenges being thrown at me emotionally. I'm so glad Mr. Deneasha was there for me, or else I would've done something really stupid and selfish. I wish my petition was worth more, for I could not bear for Mr. Deneasha to be taken away from a place where he helps others and spreads his passion for English.

I had Denesha for freshman year english and I can positively say that no other teacher compares. And it is obvious that everyone who has come into contact with him, regardless of whether they had him as a teacher or not, can say the exact same. Which is why it comes as a shock to as all that this situation is even present. BHS is making a huge mistake by not giving him tenure.

Mr. Deensha was my speech teacher and assistant directed the musical last year. He was always was there for me when I needed someone to talk to. He is a great teacher, and he definitely deserves a teaching position as BHS.
