Kazoos are the one of the only harbingers of wind within the membranophone family. Collectively, it is largely inundated with the atrocious and berating sound of drums. No matter how much I love the sound of wood wind instruments, I have never heard an instrument portray the humanity and the plight of life as well as the kazoo. It would be an absolute shame if kazoos were to be replaced by traditional instruments due to convention.
