The administration thought we were joking but the mounting pressure is impossible for them to ignore now. Their refusal to modernize the orchestra is pathetic so we are keeping the heat on until they finally cave.

As a member of the color guard, I would like to inform you we wont be able to tell the difference anyways.
as a bassoon player, yes please give me a kazoo and relieve me of the pain of reeds
Music... is important. and the only (yes, the only) way to get the youth to appreciate music is through the beauty of kazoos. I, an intellectual, hate band. As someone in Orchestra, they are my natural enemy. However! (however,) i will definitely support those nerds if they have kazoos.
The complexity and price of woodwind instruments make it very hard to manufacture and play. Think of how many potential ensembles could be made if it weren't for cost problems and difficulty? This would allow a lot of ensembles to come out of the wood-work. Or metal work
No matter how much I love the sound of wood wind instruments, I have never heard an instrument portray the humanity and the plight of life as well as the kazoo. It would be an absolute shame if kazoos were to be replaced by traditional instruments due to convention.

I strongly agree. I believe that the wind section would sound much richer and full if it were all replaced with kazoos. Not only is it easier to move around kazoos rather than wind instruments, it would make the orchestra/band look 90000000 times more professional.
