We urge Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council to use all means at it's disposal to secure the facilities at The Greene King Stadium, Leicester Road, Hinckley for the town's football before it is sold at auction on the 29th January 2015 and lost forever.

News flash 7th Jan. A meeting has been held, the council are fully committed to finding a resolution. Please continue to sign the petition to show support for the council.

The momentum is undeniable and the council is finally feeling the heat. This surge of support proves that the people of Hinckley will not stand by while our stadium is auctioned off to the highest bidder.

We are grinding toward one hundred signatures but Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council needs to see that we will not back down until this stadium is secured. Send this link to three people who are tired of watching our town lose its facilities to the auction block.

Short term finacial gain cannot compensate for a sports' facility so important to local youth. Once sold it will be lost forever.

Hi John, I think you are missing the point .... ANYONE can bid on this land and therefore potentially we ALL could lose it forever....

It is extremely important to maintain a location for the junior football club as the loss of this facility will make the process of developing the club for the children more difficult and protracted.

If local councils don't look after grass roots, the juniors wil never get a look in - unless they travel several miles out-of-town!

We need to keep places like this, not only for grassroots football which is great, but also to encourage people to play sports, keep fit, join teams, get out in the open. facilities like this are few and far between nowadays, lets not lose another!!

The 3G football pitches were purchased with Hinckley Council's funds to benefit and develop young people in the Borough.
