As the Artistic Director of the Rochester Civic Theatre for 27 years Greg Miller has inspired not only the actors, volunteers, and staff of RCT but he has inspired an entire artistic community in Rochester. As the owner of the Olde Pine Theatre and FRIGHT at the FARM I can attest to his inspiring leadership and energy. ASPIRE TO INSPIRE! The lack of transparency of the current board members at RCT is questionable. I ask for an immediate community response which must include a full audit of RCT's current board of director practices. Failure to do so would mean that the City of Rochester is not being transparent with their money.

The current President and Vice President of the Rochester Civic Theatre's Board need to be removed immediately. The damage that they have inflicted will stay with our community for years. Their lack of knowledge regarding our theatre's community is extensive. Not only have they repelled our dedicated volunteers but they have discontinued membership involvement. They have also eliminated the Artistic Director Position without cause, which majority of our stakeholders do not support.

We've gone to a few shows over the years but we will no longer attend any shows until the status quo of the original intentions of the founders are re-established. Chiefly, the members must be allowed to vote and the current board resign.

Former volunteer. Working with Greg was a pleasure. The passion he brought out in people was unreal. This will lead to the downfall of the Rochester Theater scene. Tickets canceled. I also will no longer donate to RCT until this wrong is made right. They way they did it was terrible. Disgusted with the board.

A sad day for the Rochester arts. I'm thankful to have been in productions directed by Greg and am continually wowed by his amazing talents.

Please don't let Greg Miller & this outstanding community theatre be ruined! The decisions made by the Board of Directors over the last several weeks are unethical, unprofessional, and shady, clearly demonstrating their power-hungry motives & complete disregard for all that makes this staple institution a pillar of the arts in this city. I will not be volunteering my talents to the Rochester Civic Theater Company until these wrongs have been righted and Greg Miller is restored.

To unceremoniously fire Greg after 27 years is disgusting, disrespectful and a sure sign of incompetence.

As a long time season ticket holder, I am disgusted with this decision. Greg is an excellent director and actor. I have cancelled our season tickets for next year.

Was very shocked to see this on the local news. How can you run a theater without an artistic director? The lack of fore thought is going to ruin a good thing!

What a stupid, ill thought out decision. Greg Miller should not have been fired. I hope this petition achieves some positive result. I've acted at the RCT and for other theaters in Rochester, and he is a true gem. This should not have happened. What a slap in the face for our theater community of volunteers, and an uneccessary thing for a good man who has helped foster it.

Change is important for growth in any company, but a company that depends on its members like the Civic needs to be more mindful of how decisions like this will impact the community. If they have to make changes like this behind closed doors out of the view of their members then they know they are not doing right by their members.

I came out of my long theatrical break to give it another shot. Been acting since I've been a kid, did a few movies in high school, and majored in Theatrical Performance. Greg was and is one of the most memorable directors I have ever acted under and much of the love that I sense from all actors for Civic Theater was because of him. I am not the greatest actor in Rochester, or even a popular name, but if Greg is booted from the Civic I too will not return to auditions, this is unfortunate for someone who has worked so hard for so many years.

Former employee: Young People's Theatre director/Associate Artistic Director. Community theatre benefits from full time dedicated artistic staff such as Greg.
