Judge Gerard Maney must not be re-elected Albany County Family Court, NYS, Judge

Corrupt Judges should not be overseeing people's lives.

Judge Maney had CPS take my 2 grand children away because one of my grand children got murderd now as the grandmother I have had no contact or thir whereabouts since 2016 went got everything they asked of us. What happened to our rights as grand parents its not fare to us. Look up Kenneth White. Thats my grand baby that got murded by his cousin wich is serving a life sentence. I'm hopeing someone can help me locte the 2 that are in foster care. He's a mean nasty one sided Judge that don't belong in the courts.

He sits on that bench every Thursday and they know he is a trick a shame,thirteen stepping.This crazy man got cameras installed in my home by a pedifile and i know he better not be a judge.

My family has been up front with Judge Maney has been rip apart his decide regarding my granddaughter with the lies from CPS. I had a lawyer and he would not let my lawyer ask question and so edviction regarding case for my custody

I find it really sad that families do not feel confrontable with a judge that is in Family Court. One is raised to have trust in the system and that the system is looking out for the good of the families that they encounter. In this judges case this is not so. My niece and nephew have been through a lot in their lifetime thus far and that is sad to say because children are suppose to be loved stress free and e joy being a child because they grow up so fast. They are to love their parents (as all children do) but sometimes their are exceptions and a child's best interest should always come first. Every situation should be looked at with no bias and the children should not have to pay for the lack of parenting that may exit in their life. I am very concerned because I have not heard anything positive about this judge so I ask is this : why is this judge still holding his seat when children are still being turn apart inside because of dicissions that he has made ? What about the child, children growing up happy what effects their lives as young adults will always be embedded in their hear, soul and mind is the unfairness of this judge helping these children be productive adults. Our children are the next generation and I do not see any advancement this judge is doing to help and no child should be hindered by someone who has authority and not the best interest of the child at hand. Parents who need help need to have this judge removed. As in life and becoming a parent there is no rule book but there is love for their child and when that bond is there a parent will stop at nothing to protect their child. He needs to be removed and our children need to be happy and not carry the burden of what he orders for their life, HE MUST BE REMOVED!!!!! so he should not have the right to help destroy children's lives with stuff

The nerve of judge Maney.This incompetent judge has tried to ruin my life for years after telling people to not tell me about a crime that was committed against me and he tried to have law enforcement watch me get this one I am crazy.I hope he is removed today!!!!

Someone I know was hurt by this judge who seems unfair and possibly incompetent. He should be investigated. He ran "unopposed" in the last election and will sit on the bench until 2022. Can't something be done to ensure he is qualified and if not, he be replaced?

Justine, this does not surprise me in the least. The same was done to me with "NO" findings of fact ZERO! Intact was based from state stolen information which in my book ="s fraud. He also issues subpoena's in which he does not have the authority to do so and without proper process and then has his goons, hide the paperwork, it took me years to view my complete file and what I found in it was astonishing. He should not be on the bench, he is incompetent and his ego over rules that of the "best interests" of the child. As far as I am concerned this man has ruined my life. He does what you have described all to often, I know of one other litigant he has don this to, its so tragic. He breaks families apart, doesn't try to make it better....

My sons aunt was seeking visitation after there father passed away. I was not allowing visitation after she solicited donations and had a fundraiser raising close to 45000 which could not be accounted for. Judge maney gave her temp visitation. I was involved in a car accident on a court date and provided proof and found out he awarded her joint legal custody without even putting a petition in. To my knowledge no judge has ever done this in ny. Especially because there were no abuseor neglect issues my kids get great grades. With visition every other weekend fri sun night all school vacations two weeks on two weeks off. Even though i provided proof of being in a serious car accident still signed order. Now the aunt whom stole from them and is being investigated for charities fraud legally can have acess to my sons life insurance. Everything i read and after speaking to several lawyers are shocked states can be considered judgical misconduct. I am apealing it and sure i will prevail as my kids are straight a students. Do not get in trouble.great attendance and absolutley no reason for this i still have primary custody but joint legal same thing most fathers get. Because i was not there for a visitation matter which in ny aunts have no rights unless living with them previously. Used his power to take half of my parental rights away because he thought i was a know show and after i proved via accident report and insurance claim and was a serious accident car was totaled decided to sign anyway . This is not even.legal i have spoken to many lawyers whom want a 5000 retainer and say they have never heard of such a thing. If you dont have a lawyer or cant.afford one your screwed he will not even adress u only speak to partys other lawyer and when u relize he is about done raise your hand and. Polightly say your honor can i say somthing will start screaming at you.

Incompetent judge!!! Disturbing how at the end of every court appearance he bangs his gavel and says "so be it...in the best interest of the children." Wonder who's interests he had in mind every time he got behind the wheel while intoxicated. I've had nothing but one sided battles w/this prick for almost 10 years. He gave full custody of my children to my their mother...an adulterer, felon, former stripper. She was on to her 3rd husband in 5 yrs. Her 3rd husband is a former Albany County Family Court attorney. Do you think I have a fair chance in that court? He even dismissed my attorney from the courtroom once and had me incarcerated when I fell behind on support. He literally didn't allow me to be represented. The courthouse attendants and staff all refer to him as a "drunk bastard!" He most definitely should be removed from the bench!!!

He was extremely rude and didn't want to hear about any of the evidence I had regarding the safety and well-being of my two children. He bullied the attorney I had and didn't allow me to answer any questions to address my concerns why my children should be allowed to relocate out of state with me.

I stood in front of him several times as a juvenile. He ruined my childhood. I was not a criminal. I was a child in need of help. He sent me away twice and threatened to send me away until I was 21. Due to being truant. I spent almost 3 years of my high school career in and out of facilities. I'm a mother in my 30's now and am appalled that he is still on the bench. He is human garbage and needs to be disbarred.

Please come to my court date on september 21,2016.He is not the judge i have a case with but he is directly involved and i am filing a complaint against him as well because what you said about him isdefinately true.
