I oppose the approval of a liquor license for J.R. Crickets in Castleberry Hill. Ronnie Cotton, CEO of The Tavern @ J.R. Crickets describes his theme for the bar in the Summer, 2008 Atlanta Business Journal: "The double bar within its layout is its trademark. There are numerous flat screen TVs for your viewing pleasure and hourly pool tables. The weekly specials are $2.00 Tuesday drink specials, $3.00 drink specials on Wednesday and Karaoke, $4.00 drink and wing specials on Thursday with a DJ, $7.00 crab legs on Friday with a live band, a DJ on Saturday, and Double Down Sundays with a DJ and videos." A place like this will cause increased noise, drunkeness, loitering and violence in this beloved residential neighborhood. I ask my city officials to put a stop to it.

A double bar and live DJs in a residential area? That is just asking for trouble. Bad idea for the city to approve this.

Castleberry Hill is a home for families not a party zone. We deal with enough noise already without another bar blasting music until 3am.

My kids walk these streets to school. The last thing we need is drunk people stumbling around the block every weekend. No way.

RIDICULOUS. We do not need this here. Keep the chaos somewhere else.
