For as long as my Norwich career dates (since 2006), the same DJ has been hired to play both Regimental and Junior Ring balls with a limited playlist of outdated songs that he seems to use every time. This is a petition to allow an NU student band a 45 minute time slot - after ballroom dancing and before the DJ comes on - to cover some kick ass bands (RHCP, Sublime, etc). We'd love to be apart of making this Junior Ring stand out from previous years and providing you with an awesome experience for the last dance of the year. As of now, we are not allowed to play because *one* guy believes a student band will take away from the formal nature of the ball. So if you're a fan of ridin' dirty, gettin' low, and droppin' it like it's hot at JR Ring, sign this petition HOKAAAAAAAY. YAYYUUH.
