Joyride, as you may or may not know, is a ride sharing, micro-transportation service. We specialize in getting you from point A to point B in the best, safest, and most fun way possible! We run a service that benefits students who do not have access to the T, and students who do not have cars on campus. As a bonus, we can also help students who do have a car available to them on campus, because with the parking spaces as valuable as they are, many students do not want to move their car and give up their spot.
We run our 6 seat golf-carts all over campus and downtown Knoxville, and we do a majority of our business running students to and from the Strip, parties, and class. We would like to begin accepting VolCard, specifically Dining Dollars, but we need YOUR help! The VolCard office denied our request, and we want to show them the students want us to accept dining dollars too! Having a required meal plan this semester, most students have money in the form of VolCard, and we seek to make supporting and using our service as easy, fun, and convenient as possible! As of 2015, UT has required all students, commuter and otherwise, to have a meal plan. For all the parents out there who have children who attend the school, or who wish to support our call for convenience for students, feel free to sign as well! We will make sure your child, relative, friend, or parent is taken care of, and safe, throughout the duration of their ride with us. Sign our petition and lets show the University of Tennessee that Joyride is here to stay!

The feedback from students regarding the difficulty of navigating campus without a flexible payment option has been illuminating. We are currently preparing a formal proposal for the administration that outlines the specific benefits of integrating VolCard services. It is clear that convenience should be a priority for the campus community.

Reaching this level of support indicates how much our campus community values flexible and accessible transportation. It is clear that students view the inclusion of VolCard as a logical step toward a more convenient daily routine. This momentum provides a meaningful foundation as we prepare to sit down with the administration again to discuss the potential for this partnership.

Any service to help my son get around campus safely and conveniently and use the Vol Card instead of carrying cash has my vote.
We would love your support if you feel this is something that would benefit the students and University. We employee a majority of student drivers who transport their friends and fellow classmates around for tips. We receive on average 1,400 calls a week. The Vol Card office is correct, some of our services are outside of campus. We do service parents, out of town guests and of course donors and alumni who come to cheer on the Vols that stay in the Downtown Hotels. A majority of these hotels don't have shuttles. Lastly, Joyride wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the students who have asked us to accept the Vol Card. This is the reason we are asking for your signature.
I'm UT staff, and I can tell you that walking is often hazardous due to the overwhelming amount of construction. Whatever helps Joyride is a good thing for everybody!
Driver need tips its there only pay so for the students who do not have much money they would still be able to tip the drivers who desperately need the money too
I love JoyRide! It's super convenient and fun to use. Let us use our volcard for this service that we use to go to the strip. After all, it is a business on the strip too!
Safe alternative for students to travel through campus yes your CRO's have done a great job but why not the extra help
I can't live without it!!!!

We have a freshman at UT and it would be great to have her be able to use her volcard for rides. She broke her ankle - so getting around is rough!
