The University of Tennessee requires that students carry $300 of their own money on a "Dining Dollars" card each semester. The university allows students to use
those cards at restaurants both on and off campus - but only at certain restaurants the university has contracts with (regardless of how far those restaurants are
from campus). Students deserve the right to use their own money on the Dining Dollars card at restaurants that are convenient to the university - specifically at
those establishments serving food on the Cumberland Avenue Strip. We are asking the University of Tennessee to STOP holding student money hostage and
allow students to eat at convenient restaurants on Cumberland Avenue with their own money.
Students should not be forced to support Aramark and should be able to spend their money on the food of their choice.
