Please don't penalize Josey because his/our football team has not had a stellar season this year. He is very deserving of the Butkus Award.

In my opinion, there is no other athlete more deserving of this award than the "Outlaw" Josey Jewell. He is a terror on the field, and a hard-working, class-act off of the field.

Jewell has more tackles and tackles for loss than any of the other finalists, and that includes a full game missed due to injury for the senior linebacker.
