Hands down the best lb in the nation. Represents everything a linebacker should be.. All while playing injuries like most players do, however, he still excelled and lead his team.

Jewell has more tackles and tackles for loss than any of the other finalists, and that includes a full game missed due to injury for the senior linebacker.
What we are asking is for an exception from the Butkus Foundation to include Jewell for the Butkus Award his outstanding play.

There is no more a deserving person than Josey Jewell. His stats speak for themselves, his team etiquette, sportsmanship and conduct in his grades and community Spirit is enough to go above and beyond this award. I feel strongly he should be given this award - he is the worthy winner.

It's a travesty that Josey Jewell was not included on the list! His numbers show he is the best linebacker and to not include him is wrong on so many levels.

He truly deserves this award. He is clearly the best in the country. Even with the injury and not playing in one game should show you his heart and determination to the game. He is a class act young man on and off the field. GO HAWKS!!!
