Look at his numbers and he missed a game. You cannot honestly have him as a finalist. If you are basing finalist on team record you’ve made the award a joke. And, you’ve missed identifying a player who stands out above and beyond his peers. The fact that there is a petition to bring this to your attention is an absolute joke.

If the Hawkeyes were ranked, Jewell would be the front runner for this award. This system is to award the best linebacker in the country. The reasons given by the committee for leaving him off are bogus- if that is the case, nobody would be on the list

Best LB in country being overlooked because he plays on a team that is 6-5 on the year. Look at team records of the five chosen...proof.
