Hi, i'm from England and i'm here because a few months ago i watched an episode of Werner Herzog's documentary series On Death Row which featured Mr Joseph Garcia. I'm going to tell you now, i CANNOT get this out of my head...it won't go away, this poor man has been dealt a nightmare hand in his life. 'There are good people who are dealt a bad hand by fate, and bad people who live long, comfortable, privileged lives' ...Joseph Garcia is a good man, a man with empathy and love in his heart. I don't need to meet him to know this. It oozes from him, it's in his eyes.
Mr Garcia, i hope you get to read this *I CARE* ...i care, man...alot !!! That dream you spoke about, where you're stood over your birthday cake and then you notice your hands are old and wrinkly...and there are ninety nine candles on the cake. Well, i'll live it for you in my head everyday *crying so hard* i'm so sorry matey that you got dealt this hand in life. When i went to bed the night i watched the documentary about you i couldn't sleep because i know a man like you shouldn't be going through this...but you are so i'd like to say these two things to you, mister Garcia, sir- You have people who care about you so hard it hurts ...also, and if one day you do get out of this mess then i'm coming over to America with my sons ( who care about you too ) where i'm gonna give you a bro-hug because hearts of gold like yours don't deserve this.
Finally, as with Martin ransom, i am not against the death penalty but for you this isn't applicable.

From the uk- after watching documentaries and reading up about his case (which I find restricted online) I believe the USA should be ashamed and embarrassed that Joseph Garcia is on death row! His original murder he was acting in self defence! Here in england you'd serve 15 years on a bad day which would be much less as acting in self defence. As far as the killing of the police officer, Joseph wasn't even at the scene of the shooting and wasn't even in possession of a fire arm. How can Joseph be put to death for something he didn't do! Makes me feel sick.
Just to add I do support the death penalty (in some cases) but I find this disgusting. God bless you joseph Garcia.

I'm in the UK & it's hard to find information on Josephs case & I am trying to find out as much as I can & what I'm reading sickens me. The guy wasn't there when the shot was fired, he did not possess a firearm, I will support his case & do all I can from the uk to save this poor mans life.society is condemning this innocent man.please give me all the info you can so I can do all in my power, I hope this msg reaches you joseph , I wish you peace, love and empathy. It wasn't fair that you got death for someone elses crime. The law needs to recognize this and give you another trial. I will pray for you because Texas wasn't right!!!
