Lets keep the little history we have. It seems Jonesboro could use all the help it can get. No one is coming to help, we will have to do it ourselves.

Doesn't make any sense to tear down a building that someone is interested in restoring. There is years of history in this building

It is a crime to throw away our historic buildings, especially when there is someone who is trying to preserve them!!!!

Please keep this building in my home town.
Not going to say I agree with the arrogant Pat Mitchell owning it but it would take away from the town and regardless of the extended ego of the owner.

Please let Pat restore the building. My family has history in the building, my grandfather ran his electrical business there. Jonesboro has struggled to stay alive, it's sad that politics and greed want to distroy another historical town. Pat has great intrest in keeping Jonesboro alive. The Across the River Bike Rally, he started has generated alot of money for this town. This is supposed to be a free country to live dreams. Don't take a man's dream away of trying to restore a historical town and and help him make it prosperous again and be more then just a faded dot on a map.

If inspections have been done and found to be sound, what the heck is the council's problem? Somebody on the council got a buddy that wants it? Sounds likely to me.

Please save this building. We have lost way too many historic buildings in Grant County already. We need to do everything that we possibly can to restore these old buildings so that future generations can get a glimpse of what our towns were like in the past.
