With very few local businesses why would our council stop a loyal local business from improving our town? People come to our town just to go to Ride And Leather not to mention the revenue generated by the Jonesboro River Rally.

My mother, Barbara Hewitt, fought for many years to restore Jonesboro. I'm here to help continue her legacy.

Save the building! Save the history! Invest in your community...especially when there are people willing to do the heavy lifting.

I continue to point out these old buildings, to our grandchildren, every summer, when we return to my hometown...Jonesboro. my heart aches more each year to see the deterioration of our history. Shame on the people who would have history desyroyed, especially with someone so willing and able to restore it. Jonesboro is nearly a ghost town now. Why not revitalize and regrow it?

I vote NO! This building has history and many memories. Why not let the restoration take place?!?!?
