As the city of San Mateo is considering enhancements to Joinville park, please consider badly needed maintenance on the 2 Joinville tennis courts, which are sloped and therefore unusable. Additionally, adding a third court would enable USTA (US Tennis Association) tennis teams to host team tennis leagues out of Joinville Park, which would elevate the status of the park and bring much-needed community awareness!

I have been reviewing the site plans and the current slope of our courts makes them a safety hazard that the city cannot ignore any longer. Send an email to your local representative today to insist these repairs remain a priority in the park budget. We need to keep the pressure on until they commit to the third court.

The momentum behind this push for our tennis courts proves that the park is a priority for this neighborhood. Call the Parks and Recreation office today to demand these repairs be added to the budget. Text the link to three neighbors who use the courts so we can keep the pressure on.

Please consider this request as it is difficult to return a serve when the ball shoots to the side.
Relative to other neighboring cities, San Mateo does not maintain it courts well. Thanks for finally resurfacing the Beresford Park courts, but that may have also been a good opportunity to remove the bump on the south side of court #2 (with #1 being the furthest west) instead of just leveling the steepness of the bump with additional asphalt.
Please do invest in the courts at Joinville! It would be wonderful to have a third court added, and to have a wall to hit against if at all possible. I am a resident of San Mateo. Thank you very much.
Area needs additional courts along with maintaining existing courts. There are tons of tennis players along with the youth tennis programs using and seeking courts.
The city of San Mateo needs more tennis courts in order to be as competitive as San Carlos or Foster City in terms of facilities
San Mateo needs more well-maintained tennis courts! Exercise is a good break in these stressful times.
San Mateo is lagging for tennis courts. We need more good shape & lighted courts

Excellent idea to improve Joinville tennis courts and to add a third court. Lights would be awesome as well. It would be wonderful to have another park to play tennis at for USTA!
