I think it is much more important to concentrate on further development of our Main Street area and encouraging the businesses that we have already established there. WalMart's present track record of declining business puts the taxpayers in jeopardy of being stuck with this white elephant when they pull out and leave us with a new blighted area to deal with

Citizens are not being represented or listened to! Please give our voices a venue. This is our tax money being spent on a venture unlikely to help our economy.

Hold this meeting at a time and place that allows for the public to attend and comment. This sneak behind closed doors negotiating has to stop.

While growth in Stoughton is important for the viability of the community, the Kettle Park West project is not the solution. This retail-based development is a shortsighted approach to bringing new families to the city for the purpose of resolving the decline in school enrollment, bringing in additional taxes, or any other benefits the project is claiming. People will move to Stoughton because of a strong, revitalized downtown that can be connected via rail, or good-paying sustainable business development at this site, not low-paying retail. This is a longer view of development, that can be a model for the county. Those in favor and those opposed - have asked for a referendum to settle the on-going dispute surrounding this project. However, a silent minority has controlled this project so far. Please consider this as you review the Kettle Park West project.

Scheduling this meeting for a time when most working people cannot attend indicates a desire to avoid public input. This is wrong.

Would like a fair meeting for public to comment

Dear Joint Review Board - You will hear from the Mayor and Chamber of Commerce that the people and businesses of Stoughton want Kettle Park West to happen. This is not the case. Neither the City nor the COC have proof. Please allow the maximum public input as possible for your review process, and please bear in mind that downtown development would be a better use of TIF money than Kettle Park West.

The proposed TIF is bad for the city, schools, county and community college.

Walmart and developer should pay for all infrastructure costs, not taxpayers
