The KPW project and TIF are a poorly done project that should have been junked 4 years ago! I do not like the way the Mayor of Stoughton is handling this at all. We just might need to follow the money trail to her and others that support this project.

Please do the right thing and allow the public to be heard. Have you ever wished for something so much, you just couldn't wait for it to happen? And then it happens, and it turns out it was a big mistake? That's what I fear, mayor, is happening with this project. I know you think you are right; but what happens if you are wrong? It won't just be you that is sorry, but the whole town. Please, please, please take a step back and listen, really listen to what those who are opposed are saying. If after that, the town decides they still want this, at least then you can say we did it the right way. Not like this.

Please reschedule this meeting to a time that allows the community to engage in a meaningful way with the business of the meeting. This issue is too important to proceed with out the full and educated participation of the citizens of Stoughton and the surrounding communities. This means completing a thorough and accurate community and business impact study and allowing the citizens time to read and react.

Please respect the time of your citizens and reschedule the 11/25 meeting at 8:30 am to a time which working people can attend and away from a holiday week so that those who travel to spend that time with their families also can attend.

I think we need to slow down and look at the whole picture for our community and the future. Let's take care of our schools first and the children in our community.

I'm sorry, but this council & MAYOR disgust me beyond words! Most of them are acting very republican and that is so unfortunate for Stoughton. Just the fact that this petition even has to be submitted says a lot especially about this mayor. They always say follow the money trail.
