Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

We need more land for animals and nature. Not more houses and industrial parks. Please keep Celery Field from being developed.

We are losing our natural Florida acre by acre and this place is so incredibly special and so very important for our migratory birds and so many other creatures that inhabit Florida the more we build the more we encroach on them the less will have and then the tourist will not come in the residence will leave and we’re going to be in serious trouble and all of our species will collapse

Celery fields is such a special place. I come to Sarasota and always go to celery fields. It is a distinctive and valuable nature spot. Please preserve it.

Important bird area

How shortsighted to even consider harming the Celery Fields. There are so few open spaces remaining where wildlife can thrive. This reminds me of the fight to keep the proposed new building from the downtown park. Thankfully citizen outrage prevented this, let’s hope it does the same for “development” anywhere in or near the Celery Fields. Why don’t elected officials understand that one of the important draws for Sarasota is the existing open space?

Way too many apartment buildings and houses going up everywhere. East of the interstate, country life is slowly going away. Seeing out to the greedy , money hungry devolopers. It's sickning!! Sarasota will soon look like new York city. What a shame!!!!!!

A Sarasota jewel needs to be protected. Nothing else like this, but plenty of places to build a recycling plant

Green space like the celery fields is vitally important for the community and environment. We really don't have enough, so reducing it even further is a bad idea.

We need to protect our precious birds and all the environment from being destroyed by these plans.

I applaud this work and I am behind you 100%. I was at the rally on Saturday and I will go to the meeting on Wednesday as well.
