Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

Please, Commissioners, do not ignore this opposition.

Please save the celery fields

Keep our land

We urge you to acknowledge this rare opportunity for public good. Do NOT sell our public lands to private developers. Protect and enhance the Celery Fields Area for all the people of Sarasota.

Please do not sell any of the 33 acres of public park next to the Celery Fields. The Celery Fields are a vital asset to this area. Once we spoil all the land in Sarasota County, the area will be much less attractive as a home. Please plan to keep this land as a natural asset.

Please do not sell 33 acres of public park adjacent to the Celery Fields. Sarasota County needs the natural resources it still has, ESPECIALLY treasures such as the Celery Fields and surrounding undeveloped land. Please protect this vital part of our county.

Please leave this piece of nature for the public to enjoy. We have destroyed enough. An industrial site will drop property values in this area and nature will lose its home.

I can’t believe 3 years later we are still fighting this insidious battle!! We need the Celery Fields to stay pristine and the lands around it as well. Our county representatives clearly only work for developers—their success is our county’s destruction. So demoralizing.

Don’t let them ruin this beautiful area.

Please do not redone the property around the Celery Fields. The Celery fields is a birding oasis that can’t be replica, that deserves protection from industrial development, not to mention the increased traffic. It is difficult to drive thru there now.

Stop development near the Celery Fields! Enough is enough!

This is public land and should remain public. Why can we just continue to have a beautiful park? Why must Sarasota build on every piece of green space?

Please slow down the building and please leave the celery fields alone. The animals and people need this area saved with no industrial permits given out.

People come from all over to visit the celery fields just to see the birds that gather... don't ruin this habitat with more industry. There is plenty of land available for industry already in more appropriate locations.

don’t do dumb things.. keep nature. stop building. we don’t want anymore places for people. we need places for animals to.

The celery fields have proven to be a fabulous environmental haven for numerous species of wildlife. It also provides a quiet and serene place for residents to enjoy a hike or stroll. It would be incredibly ridiculous to allow any kind of development near this property other than parks or other recreational/environmental use. Please save this area for our residents. It is one of the few places where I know many who have actually visited and enjoyed here in Sarasota. It is an asset that should remain environmentally sound.

please give the parcels to the celery fields. Simple. County will make more revenue with all the people from everywhere coming to enjoy Celery Fields, by staying at hotels, buying gas and food, etc. With all the development going around it, this all should be preserved.

Get it tight

No to treatment plant by celery fields plz. I walk there and enjoy the view and animals. Don’t ruin it by bad smells and ugly views
