Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

Prevent the sale and industrialization of any/all public parcels located within view of the celery fields.

Stop paving Florida! This sanctuary needs protection from rampant over-development. "Say No to Stucco!"

Preserve the celery fields. Please save what little we have left to open space, less noise, and concrete.

I am against future development of public lands in Sarasota!

It is vital that we preserve all of this land as one parcel; one that inspires, purifies, and invites populations of all shapes, ages, sizes and interests to enjoy the beauty of nature and the simple joy of being outdoors. Save our Celery Fields.

This is a travesty! Both amazing and horrible that this is still an issue. Why has this land not been rezoned or repurposed to protect it for the benefit of SRQ citizens and naturalists now and into the future? Shameful.

Please protect this area. Our planet needs to be saved not plundered. The red tide situation should make everyone take stock and realize we need to stand up for those creatures that can’t protect themselves and save our precious environment.

No more building. Let’s save what little we have left.

Plan for the future - the Celery Fields are a placeholder that should determine the area.

I love hiking in the celery fields.

The Celery Fields is unique in many ways. Sarasota County and our Commissioners seems not to understand that it serves this community and its special treasures. Residents should unite to save the Celery Fields and adjacent public lands.

I’m appalled. Leave the celery fields alone. There’s enough development elsewhere already.

The County appears to have financial issues they can only resolve by selling off public lands to developers with NO regard to Impact on communities or the environment.

Please no more building.

This is one of the most golden opportunities for Sarasota County to benefit from Urban Design. It has all the strategic elements necessary for an important local and tourist designation to a high quality water resource. A coherent high quality vision is necessary especially since there are competing themes that are antagonistic towards each other.

We must make sure anything other than a unified, sensible plan is cause fo dismissal or a lawsuit.

Leave the Celery Fields as open country. Commissioners are ruining what is left of the county. The plan to let Siesta set back rules be changed for the GARY developer. STOP STOP
