Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

As a nearby resident for 20+ years, I am opposed to ANY building in the current Celery Fields. This is a place for families to enjoy birds, wildlife as well as peace and quiet. PLEASE don't put a price on that!

Stop this needless growth. Save Sarasota

Sadly Sarasota officials can not be trusted to do what is right for the vast majority of residents. Their only concern is making sure that the unscrupulous developers get what they want. Preserving the environment means absolutely nothing to them, and keeping their word.....what a joke.

Stop trying to destroy this area with your developments!

We need to protect our valuable natural resources- without them we all will eventually die

Keep Celery Fields untainted and unspoiled. Heaven knows - there are not many places like Celery Fields.

I can't even imagine these parcels not being maintained in ownership by Sarasota County.They have a very rare opportunity here to forever keep this area open and beautiful and abundant in nature.Just look at how much the area is used by residents and non-residents.

Protect our public lands

Sarasota County elected officials should protect this wildlife preserve. We need to keep areas like this for the future of our County.

Enough is Enough! Protect what is left of the Celery Fields. Take your greedy, polluting LLC's some where else.

Please consider keeping our greenspace green. The Celery fields can be a major part of a "Greenway" which is connected to Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary, Rosaire's Riding Academy and Graceland Ranch. All of these places could be a part of a wonderful community green area to be enjoyed by the community and preserve some of the agricultural history of our area.

In addition to protecting some of the little open space that our county has left, the Commissioners should realize that the money brought into the area by birding "ecotourism" is enormous. The Celery Fields is widely known as one of the best birding areas in the state of Florida and needs to be protected.

This land is wonderful for people to enjoy nature and provides protection for birds and other animals. We need parcels of green land in between all these developments. Please leave this area alone.
