The county would be wise to adopt compatible use development. The more than 50 subdivisions surrounding the Celery Fields deserve land use that supports residential living in one of the prettiest parts of Sarasota County. If only our elected officials could be so visionary!

Foolishly I thought uncontrolled growth was put in its place 30 years ago. Apparently we must be vigilant.

After the WAWA/Whole Foods rezoning at the corner of University and Honore from a wetland to another gas station, we should have a wall of shame for these commissioners. Let them know that they are not irreplaceable.

My desire is that these particular public lands not be put to any sort of industrial use. And the Sarasota community is very clear about this, too. Shield this birding and recreational area for the pleasant use of future generations.

Where are the wildlife supposed to live if the developers keep demolishing their homes??!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
How about REVAMP an already developed area and make it nicer?!
