I've lived in Sarasota County since 1970. The Celery fields, owned by the Ferlise family are an integral part of Sarasota Nature whether farmed or as a nature preserve. The concept of the private developer turning this specific area into a waste recycle plant is incredibly disrespectful. The greed that is currently being demonstrated is discussing. I live now off East Venice Ave, directly opposite one of the 2 entrances to the proposed Venice hospital. No infrastructure. No $$ for roads. Nobody recognizing the Chinese money that supports the hospital rebuild. All of us are now are in some way a possible victim of these developers GREED. I stand with concerned citizens and I say " NO". I am the tax payer. I am protected my the 1st Amendment . Make your money somewhere else. Thank you.

VOTE for County Commissioners that are NOT funded by developers! Hint: usually NOT the ones whose names are on big bill boards and TV ads.

We shouldn't have to keep fighting about this over and over. It should be part of the park. Who is getting paid off by the developers?

Don't sign our Celery Fields away. There's too much death of nature being lost on r land here. Greed has no heart or conscience.

Although I reside just over the Manatee boarder, we frequently visit the Celery Fields. I have always recommended a visit to CF to visitors. We often eat in area restaurants. If money is the issue I would advise the Commissioners to consider the international attention this birding spot gets and consider giving the land to something more befitting to it!

This area should be conserved as a park land not an industrial complex.. Sarasota County taxpayers already own this property. Don't let the politicians give it away!

A number of bird photographers come here from Arcadia and enjoy eating nearby. I combine shopping locally then stop there. It's short sighted to not expand this as a tourist destination. Industry is not compatible.

When will we ever learn that our land is not available to the highest bidder?
Not everything on the planet shoud be for sale.
Wake up and work with Nature as a partner, not a dictator.
