Public Vision for our Public Lands at the Celery Fields

Celery Fields is an amazing treasure that needs to be kept intact to protect the wonderful habitat for so many birds.

Please come and do the right thing this time! Don’t do the thing that makes the most money - just ONCE. The vast majority of residents and voters support preserving this area as the natural resource it’s become. Please don’t allow heavy industry to ruin it.

How far has Sarasota County fallen?

We need to stop this Madness!! There will be no open land for nature to exists peacefully the way it was intended...there is WAY to much building going on in Sarasota...it’s already overcrowded and in season it’s just ridiculous please stop building!!!!

We must value our natural spaces. The celery fields are an asset to Sarasota and should be protected. Pleaase do not vote with your pocketbooks.

It's time to stop fooling around and protect the Celery Fields and the adjacent spaces. SHould all be public.

Once it's gone, we can't get it back. Now is the time to protect this beautiful area! Can't we have something nice?

Vast tracks of under developed land must be set aside for both Nature as well as environmental reasons. Keeping the Celery Fields pristine will do just that.

Please DO NOT destroy the surrounding habitat for more construction!!!! If I wanted to live in a paved environment I would have stayed in Chicago!!!

Keep the Quads industry free and open....for the sake of safety, nature, traffic, residents, visitors....the pro's of no industry far outweigh benefiting an individual builder or investor. Hoping the Commissioners come to their senses and start serving their constituency rather than corruption.

No Development near the Celery Fields.

As I said at the public meeting several months ago, not one person on TripAdvisor requested a restaurant, a golf course, or hotel. The comments were about the excellent birding, wonderful wildlife area, and quiet green area. There are so many shrinking green areas in Sarasota, leave this area alone.

Please save the celery fields and surrounding areas it is an oasis..

Can you please consider the welfare of the citizens who elected you rather than the welfare of the criminals who want to spoil the peaceful surroundings of the Celery Fields? What are you going to tell the many many 'birders' who come to our area, spend money at hotels & restaurants, when they go to the fields with binoculars in hand and see filth and waste. I know, tell them it's a movie set for the next Mad Max.

Please don’t punish your constituents for messing up the concrete crusher deal.
