Dear Mr. Snyder, we the undersigned implore you to use the iconically classic score by John Williams (original used in the legendary "Superman The Movie") as part of your forthcoming project "Man Of Steel"
Whilst we understand that your movie is in no way tied to the universe created by Richard Donner or Bryan Singer, the original score has become so entwined in Superman folklore that it is now as recognisable as the Superman shield itself. Some scores become as big as the icons they are supporting - where would James Bond be without his theme? - surviving generations, reboots, reinventions, and recasting!!
Please do not deny this generation the opportunity to feel the hairs on the back of their necks rise as the music rolls to what I have no doubt will be a fine piece of cinematic history. One again bringing our favourite superhero back to life.
We thank you.
The momentum behind this request confirms that the legacy of this music remains deeply important to the audience. This response demonstrates how effectively a classic score can define a cultural icon across generations.

That theme is the only thing that makes it feel like Superman. Anything else just feels wrong
