We petition the county commissioners of Johnson County, Wyoming to sponsor a county-wide property tax town hall. After three citizen-led information sessions on the topic, the people of Johnson County have questions to ask of the entity ultimately responsible for levying MILs in the county. We also request it occur before the county budgets for the next fiscal year are approved on June 30th.

The commissioners have yet to provide a response to our request for a town hall meeting. Email your representative today and insist that they address our property tax concerns before the budget deadline.

Taxes are based off overly inflated purchases of jus a few pieces of property. Not representative of the overall ownership and land prices on the real market.

As elected officials I would think the commisioners would want to do everything possible to answer the questions of their constituents

Our property taxes have continued to increase by hundreds of dollars each year since buying our home in February 2016. This is our retirement home, we are on a fixed retirement income and we aren’t selling or moving. This must stop!

Stop gouging citizens with high taxes and answer questions about where the money is going! It is the responsibility of the People to KNOW where their money goes, and what their government is doing with ALL the money!
