This Petition is directed towards Maureen Shamgochian, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs of Worcester State College in regards to keeping Johnathan Lucas on staff at Worcester State College. Johnathan Lucas has been a major asset to the Communications Department. With his enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject matter Johnathan has brought more excitement within the Photography aspect of Communications. Johnathan is not only knowledgeable in the field, he is also able to apply his knowledge while keeping students greatly enthused in their own work and becoming better at the skill. Seeing that this is a skill it would be a great loss to the Communications Department of Worcester State College and also a shame to let a great teacher go who has had such a great impact on not only the students yet the entire college community.

Updates

May 23, 2008

The feedback from students regarding the specific impact of Professor Lucas on their photography coursework remains consistent and compelling. I am currently organizing these testimonials to present a clear case for his continued role within the Communications Department.

Professor Lucas actually cares about his students and our projects. Why would the school want to lose someone who makes the department look good?

Total loss for the school if this happens. He is by far the most dedicated teacher there.

Seriously? The guy is actually passionate about what he teaches. You don't find that often. Big mistake if they let him go.
