We all know and love the Newfoundland Growlers mascot, our beloved Buddy the Puffin, but no one embodies St. John's hockey spirit like our buddy, John Riche. From attending every game he can, to media interviews and call-in shows talking about the team, to waving towels in the street after the Growlers inaugural season championship, John Riche is THE Growler in the stands.
Please help us in rewarding this lifelong hockey fan and dedicated Growlers fanatic with the honour he so Riche-ly deserves as the Growlers Unofficial Patron Mascot.

John Riche is the epitome of class. Nobody is a better superfan than John Riche. He is a wealth of knowledge and watches every game he can, and not through his phone screen.

I don't know John personally but after following him a while on Twitter I did have a shirt made that time that said "If you can't be Superman be John".
