I sign this petition in support of the removal of the street pool game erected in Jocketts Park. There are many reasons why I object to this equipment, not least that residents were not consulted. Others are its colour, its placement in an inappropriate area for play, its potential attraction to graffiti, attracting more attention by youths in the summer evening and increasing noise. Sewage drains close by, hill activities such as sledging, skateboarding and cycling. We, as a community, propose you remove this structure and consult residents and parents prior to reinstallation elsewhere on the grassed area of Jocketts Road/Shrubhill common.
