Job's Daughter Members, MM, Adults Against 2019 Proposed Supreme Amendments

I never thought we would move backwards from inclusion.

MM, PBG, PGG and Mom to two former members, one a PHQ and MM. Dead-naming (deliberately using a transgender person’s birth name) is an act of violence. Hardly in keeping with the lessons taught in the order.

As a recently majoritied member of Kirkwood Jobs Daughters Bethel #5 in MO this is not the correct direction for our order

PHQ, MM OH#61, RDRP These amendments are absolutely out of touch with society today. We should be offering our love and support to our PHQs and MMs that transition or come out as non-binary, not shunning them.

PHQ 17 Downey I understand the times we are in that this may need to be addressed, but titles and honors should never be stripped of a member in good standing.

To propose amendments like this shows why our organization is dying. If you want membership to increase and MM’s to continue supporting, stop discriminating against them for reasons that have nothing to do with the principles of the organization. Somebody’s hard work and dedication should not be thrown out because of the way they choose to live their life. From a MM, PHQ of 2 Bethel’s, and PGBHQ.

I am a PHQ, MM, and BG... what is this organization going to? If we cannot rule with the tides, we will not survive! I am saddened by this, and it is not fair to push girls of the order away for how GOD made them! I know quite a few who would lose their titles over this and I would give up every one of mine so that I can stand with them and not leave them out if these very sad amendments pass

MM 180 Vallejo, California, Past Council Member 185 Napa California While I think that I understand the "intent" behind some of this, Job's Daughters is a organization for girls, I don't feel that taking away a persons honors, that they earned is right. I'm not sure what promoted this proposed legislation, I would be interesting to hear what the daughters have to say, Supreme has always had some well spoken passionate young ladies that speak their minds on the proposed amendments, I was always proud of my daughter and others for speaking out if they disagreed. Sometimes the adults even listen!

This amendment is revolting. It is discriminatory and hate-fueled. In an already struggling organization further alienating a group of people (and believe me when I say that it isn't just trans members, but every young woman with a conscience) will just be another nail in the coffin.
