To, Johnson Matthey Directors and Councillors of Hertfordshire, If I was to write to you informing you of the behaviour of another individual who was responsible for defacing the landscape outside my window and creating a permanent eyesore, devaluing in no small way the property in the area, lighting bonfires daily, spoiling any chance of a nice day in the privacy of my own garden, due to smoke and fallout, I am convinced that you as a caring member of the community would like this individual hunted down and served with an ASBO order. Explain to me then the difference between imaginary delinquent and the actions of the planning department and Johnson Matthey What right has either of these organisations got to detract from my quality of life I am of course talking about the monstrosity that Johnson Matthey are building at the end of Rock Road, is it not enough that we daily have to put up with pollution that is constantly belching out of its chimneys, that I now have to put up with thousands of pounds being wiped off the value of my property due to the eyesore. I like many affected residents demand answers from the people responsible for giving life to this building, no more are we going to sit back and allow big business and councillors, who themselves I am sure, live in nice leafy backdrops miles away from this monster, to make decisions based solely on financial gain at such cost to the local residents. It is then our intention to encourage the residents of Royston to sign this petition demanding answers and compensation from the people responsible for the decision to allow the Johnson Matthey eyesores and pollutants to take over our town.
