With the nursing department's move into a beautiful new building, the decision was made to replace the past graduating class photos with a digital display on a monitor. Many of us were disappointed to learn that this would be the only way to view graduating class photos. A brief 3-5 seconds on a monitor does not do justice to the hard work and dedication the graduates put into being successful in the rigorous JJC nursing program. 

Many past students of the nursing program, as well as many current students and faculty members, would like to see the graduating class photos properly displayed by being hung on the walls to allow for the opportunity to be viewed leisurely. The photos serve not only as a testament of the success of the program, but for those of us who have completed it, they provided inspiration to keep going when times were toughest and it seemed impossible. Walking past the pictures of all the successful graduates that came before us and seeing their faces smiling back at us showed us that they survived. Their photos served as inspiration to keep going, imagining that we will one day return to see our photo on the wall along with our classmates. 

This petition has been created to provide feedback to the nursing department in the hope that they will consider the importance of displaying the photos of the graduating classes on the walls of the new building to continue to provide inspiration for current and future students.
